The TMP (Taktische Maschinenpistole/Tactical Machine Pistol) is a a 9×19mm Parabellum caliber compact submachine gun manufactured by Steyr Mannlicher of Austria, designed in 1989. It has a handgun-like configuration, and a tubular vertical foregrip, In 2001, Steyr sold the design to Swiss company Brügger & Thomet, developed it into the B&T MP9. Its improvements are additional features such as an integrated Picatinny rail on top, a new trigger safety and a side-folding stock.
