Distinguished by it's very long sleeves with no exit holes, designed to attach itself to the jacket body by buckles or buttons, making the wearer hug themselves. Alternatively, the wearer may have their hands placed behind their back in a reverse straitjacket. Famously worn by the illusionist Harry Houdini in some of his escape tricks. Also commonly associated with mental hospitals around the turn of the 20th century, when they were commonly used to restrain violent patients. Nowadays used within BDSM communities for bondage.
