A Japanese culinary tool consisting of a square tube, a wire screen at one end of the tube, and a press that fits snugly within the tube. It is mainly used to prepare Tokoroten (ところてん), a cold seaweed jelly noodles, by putting the Agar within the tube and pushing the press so that the agar is extruded through the wire screen.
