A girl who displays boyish behaviors. Tomboys tend to be the athletic or sporty type, dressing like a boy and keeping their hair short (they can have long hair, however). Stereotypically they may have tanned skin and spiked hair. Examples include Kagura (azumanga daioh), Arisawa Tatsuki and Makoto (street fighter). Not to be confused with reverse trap, though there can be overlap between the two. A reverse trap is a girl with an androgynous or masculine appearance, regardless of personality.
